IMT Medical & Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of adults, children and young adults to protect them from harm.
Child protection is part of the safeguarding process. It focuses on protecting individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. This includes child protection procedures which detail how to respond to concerns about a child.
We support and help Safeguarding by taking action and reporting Safeguarding concerns to the appropriate authorities.
If you wish to discuss this matter in greater detail please contact your local authority or call us and we will try to help you.
We treat all safeguarding matters in total confidence and our dedicated Safeguarding e-mail address is: safeguarding@imtmedical.co.uk.
IMT MEDICAL ANTI BULLYING STATEMENT
At IMT Medical, we recognize that bullying causes real distress and affects a person’s health and development, in some instances, bullying can cause significant harm. All staff, patients both adult and children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.
IMT Medical takes bullying seriously, and everyone has a role to play in preventing all forms of bullying (including online) and putting a stop to bullying. We will seek to prevent bullying by acting when we must, developing a code of behavior that sets out how everyone involved in IMT Medical is expected to behave in face-to-face and online contact, and within and outside of our activities.
IMT Medical will hold regular discussions about bullying and how to prevent it with our staff, patients where possible, children, young people and families who use our services or are within our supply chain. We will provide support and training for all staff on dealing with all forms of bullying, including aggressive, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic and sexual bullying. We will put in clear and robust anti-bullying procedures in place and have regular discussions with our staff and patients where possible. We will focus on responsibilities to look after one another and uphold our behavior code, so that staff and patients have the confidence to escalate bullying. We will listen to each other and respect the fact that we are all different.
When responding to bullying, we will continue to ensure that our response to incidents of bullying is swift and considers the needs of the person/s being bullied and our organisation as a whole.

Some of our advisory updates have been taken from ICO, our current clients and our Insurers, who have updated us with a UK GDPR and GDPR guide, which they created in partnership with a law firm. We have also completed and have been awarded our registration with ISO 27001.
Finally, we have recently signed up to the cyber security online training platform that has been provided to us and this will further cement our commitment to compliance.
