IMT Medical & Safeguarding

Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of adults, children and young adults to protect them from harm.

Child protection is part of the safeguarding process. It focuses on protecting individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. This includes child protection procedures which detail how to respond to concerns about a child.

We support and help Safeguarding by taking action and reporting Safeguarding concerns to the appropriate authorities.

If you wish to discuss this matter in greater detail please contact your local authority or call us and we will try to help you.

We treat all safeguarding matters in total confidence and our dedicated Safeguarding e-mail address is: safeguarding@imtmedical.co.uk.

Safeguarding means:

Protecting from abuse and maltreatment.
Preventing harm to health or development.
The provision of safe and effective care.
Taking action to enable the best outcomes.
Protecting their rights to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
People and organisations working together to prevent the risk of abuse or neglect, and to stop them from happening.
Making sure people’s wellbeing is promoted, taking their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs into account.

Data protection in the NEWS: GDPR has now come into effect. Here at IMT Medical, we have been taking a number of advisory updates on the requirements of the GDPR with our total aim of ensuring that we remain compliant in the support of data control and the protection of it.

Some of our advisory updates have been taken from ICO, our current clients and our Insurers, who have updated us with a GDPR guide, which they created in partnership with a law firm. We have also completed and have been awarded our registration with ISO 27001.

Finally, we have recently signed up to the cyber security online training platform that has been provided to us and this will further cement our commitment to compliance.
